If you need solutions to your problems, you need to act as professionally as possible. Please stop throwing tantrums and also mind your P's and Q's when you utter expletives against the USCIS. Would you be brave enough, if not foolhardy enough, to reproduce whatever you've said in your threads here in a separate letter and send it out to the USCIS? Trust me, you'll not, since you'll act politely and courteously to make out your case. Decorous behaviour is called for when dealing with pertinent issues in the IV forum.

Some good ideas and thoughts here. Here's my 2c :)
One thing that no one has pointed out and I wonder if people even care about it, but to me its a BIG issue.
All our hard earned $$$$ going into the Social Security and Medicare pool. Has anyone even thought about this ? If you look at your figure closely, it is the amount of money that an average american family saves over 1 year.
I personally feel that it is too big a contribution to let it to waste and for me getting a green card would make me eligible to get all the benefits that I deserve and have rightly earned.

I am still confused in regards to who whould be eligible for a visa number.
For instance (assumption:all other factors same for both A and B(name check, country etc)

So under present circumstances when everything is current, who whould get alloted a visa number first??

1. Here are the email addresses that I used. Got a response from the NSC email address after three days that I need to wait for 60 days and have to send a written request.

2. Yes, my lawyer did send a explicit letter. Bottom line on that letter was "A request is hereby made to interfile the latest I-140 approval with his "A" file. Kindly make sure that the applicant's pending I-485 file reflects the new I-140 approval which has a priority date of July 8 2003 and it reflects classification under Sec. 203 (b) (2).
3. Also I didn't mention one other thing on the original post was that I have placed multiple call to 800-375-5283 to make sure that my I-485 is processed as EB2.

Thanks to the glorious service of the Atlanta center :mad: I missed the I-485 bus by 7 days( Labor cleared on Aug end ). Many people with later PD's got cleared from the Chicago PERM center . Now I just watch as all members get their EAD's and AP's while I wait with nothing but hope and watch legislation after legislation fail in the senate and house , and the letters flying all over the place .
I remember my past by reading your sad story. Though I had different cause for my tragedy. In Year 2000 November my then employer filed RIR labor and I got approval in January 12th 2001 and Same day HR filed my I-140. On January 22nd during companywide mass lay off I was slashed.. Again go through one more lay off in year 2002 with different employer and still waiting for GC(After filing 4th application in year 2003, Rotting in PBEC for almost 4 years)... Best Luck to you.

There is another thread on this same topic that presents a discussion on how the ammendment was not rejected per se, but it was more like including the ammendment that was rejected.
From the daily dairy (thomas.loc.gov):
"By 55 yeas to 40 nays..Senate rejected the motion .. with respect to Cornyn Amendment No. 2339 (to Amendment No. 2327), to provide interim relief .... Subsequently, the point of order that the amendment, was not germane, was sustained, and the amendment thus fell."

Guys as it states both you and your spouse need to have an SSN not ITIN.
So if one has ssn other has ITIN you are not qualified.
The stimulus package is $600 for each member who has an SSN. Therefore if both you and your wife had an SSN you would get $1200. In the case where one spouse has an ITIN, the remaining spouse still is eligible for the $600. As mentioned in this post earlier you can always file 1040X one you receive the SSN for your spouse and claim the additional $600.

lack of a good implementation plan and improvement over a number of years is another thing.
We can't just poke around an established government agency because we feel they are not doing their job properly.
What do you (You refers to people who think above, not one in particular) say about the people who filed lawsuit and got the 180 day Name check rule to implementation faster? Not that I am proposing lawsuits, just an example to disprove what you said.

I don't think so. Eventhough they make U in september bulletin. They have to move dates in October bulletin because of new visa numbers.
I can understand the excitement. I am also in EB2 2005 PD. But the fact is that, this seems like a temporary movement only...i don't think dates can stay at 2006, going by simple math.
PPl can give me those red marks, but i think dates will retrogress again by Oct.

Agree. Truthinspector is simply expressing his opinion and if one doesn't agree, just put your side of the arguments to counter his but their is no need for character assassination. It's perfectly fine to disagree with someone but there are better ways of letting him/her know that.

we are not talking anything new nixstor, there are people already waiting for years to get name check done......dont think if you pretend like nothing is happened will get a GC within a year....even though we might still stuck for years in the name of name check
May be you are right. I am pretending like nothing has happened. But Those folks who are adding spin to the issue on security checks, are you focusing in any way on the root cause of the problem. My point is, If you bring security on, every thing else is shelved until security is fixed. If its already there, let it be there. Let AILA figure out in the law suit how they approved. Let Rep Lofgren do it. Why should we stir up the hornet's nest on digg and open doors to anti guys to tighten security checks on us. Its like we are going out there and saying that "yes, My buddy got GC in 6 months. The security system is not working. Please fix it " What will be the result?

When this July bulletin was released, I had given the following points in that thread.
I am seriously considering this. Indian economy is going to go leaps and bounds and I dont want to miss out on that. And wait here in the whims and fancies and their ridiculous illogical visa bulletins by these people. They shouldnt harass and take Indians for a ride. We are paying our taxes and all the fees and what not. Still they prefer illegals over us.
Enough is enough. I have self respect.
Looking at this visa movement for the past year and the current economy, I am just giving up hope to get GC in this country folks.
I am seriously thinking about going back to India. The reasons I was proding over are:
1. Well.. first and foremost, no hope of visa movement in near future.
2. Employer uncertainty. The company is not doing too well.
3. Tough job market and US economy will drag like this for another 2-3 years.
4. If they lay me off, I will have to find another job first. I havent even applied for 485 yet, so no EAD and priority date is Feb 2008
5. Restart GC again which is another excruciating process - moneywise, timewise.
6. Wait again in the line for visa movement
7. No career advancement because cannot jump companies and I am already early 30's. (I am non-IT). Career is stagnant, company doing very small projects.
8. Cannot even think of having kids because job and life here is hanging by a thread.
9. Cannot buy a house in this market. Its not that I dont have money, was thinking, if I lose the job, I wont get much time to sell it off and I will have to incur losses.
10. India is doing well and going to to do well in the future.
Is anyone else thinking on these lines?
