Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. The annual migration of illegally present immigrants has dropped from about 850,000 a year a few years ago to just 300,000 a year today. Why? - recently obtained a duplicate passport for my stolen passport, unfortunately also lost I-94 when received in Dec.08.
- Can I use the I-94 attached in the bottom of the I797? I won't have time to submit I102 and wait for replacement I-94.
- I've a trip coming very soon to Germany, last year had obtained the H1b stamping at US consulate in Germany, will it be ok if I apply for restamping at the same consulate because of time factor I'm not able to Canada or Mexico or India.
Any help and advise will be much appreciated. thanks !

Hi Gurus,
Request your help on my query. I am on H1B with an I 797 valid upto 29-Jan-2011 and dependants have stamped H4 visas valid upto 29-Jan-2011. My company is in the process of applying for my H1B extension (this will be my second extension and i have currently completed 4 yrs 9 months in US).
My dependants are planning to travel to India at the end of this month and plan to return back by end of Nov. Will they face any issues during their return at POE ?
Will there be any complications with our visa extensions ?
Appreciate your response at the earliest.

Our son was out of the country when we filed our 485 on July 2nd. Now he returned to US, how shall we file his AOS? Form I-485 or anything else? Shall we include a copy of our filing inside?
In addition, the I140 was approved after we filed. And the principal applicant went out of the country and applied H1 visas and returned also.
Shall we include the updated information of the principal inside or just the copy of the original filing?

If your labor is not approved by June 09, you can extend H1-B based on pending labor for more than 1 year. If it will be approved before June, you will be able to apply I-140 premium processing and then extend H1.
