Yes you need Masters or Bachlor + 5 years progressive experience.

We have couple of threads covering it.
1. Copy of I485
2. Copy of both side of EAD (and for faster processing, upper part of mailer, in which EAD came)
3. Copy of Passport Photo page and last Visa Page (Serves as federal id)
4. Copy of DL (other id)
5. EAD filing receipt copy
In one or two business days, you may be able to see on line status and LUDs. Soon you should be receiving paper receipt followed by FP notice.
In case of E-Filing the EAD ,
1) I didnot understand why we have to send copy of DL and Passport photo page. The confirmation reciept clearly says "DO NOT mail photos or copies of identification unless requested to do so by USCIS."
Do you guys think, we have to send these two copies? I am confused now. Could you guys please advise.
2) Also when E-filing for myself and spouse, Is it ok, If I send both of our supporting documents in one package ? or is it better to send them separately.

I have not started the process as yet. Bust basically I am going thru a Franchise Corp to do my application at present. But have kept the option open to buy one outright in a good neigborhood.

an email reply saying " ... Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. I got similar letter for my SR regarding EAD. After I got this letter, my EAD was approved in 80 days. My EAD was pending for more than 270 days when my lawyer opened an SR. I got my EAD exactly after 365 days.
I am sure somebody is working on your case.

Nope. My lawyer did a mistake to correct himself he applied though dates were not current.
What do you think now? any suggestion.
I would think that you did not file at all.
If the PD was not current at the time of the first submission they should not even cash the check with the fee.

I did send the $15 for overnight return. The consulate is saying they are taking 20 business days now to issue new passports. Even i had good experiences in the past where they send the stuff back within a week. But just my luck , that this time it is taking forever!!!!

Hi, I had similar thing, my case status still shows "case transferred from VSCt to TSC as they now have jurisdiction, decision will be taken etc' my case was approved in 2006, the lud was 3/23/2009 and after that it is still the same, noclue as to waht would have triggered this for an approved case, two things could have happened per me (Own views)- employer revoked 140 or regular cleanup of files from VSC as they no longer do 140s..also what is meant by PE in you status...keep me posted.

Our attorney mailed our applications to NSC on 7thJune and thru USPS tracking number, we know it has reached NSC on11th June early morning. Have called NSC 5 times in last 3weeks, but every time, I am told our data is not in the system.... Our attorney is asking us to hold on for some more time, till he hears from his bank if the checks have been encashed??? But till now, no news...
Kindly let us know, if anybody who have filed at same time and have not yet received any update???

Chill out...Everybody is unnecessarily getting worked up just because our frustrations are not reflected in the article.
It doesn't say "that people are waiting for GC because of strict rules". That is totally taken out of context. Re-read the article.
Keep in mind where the article has appeared - BBC. Keep in mind the audience of the article - people who don't know anything about this issue. From that perspective it does a decent job of providing someone with some idea as to what the H1B/GC issues are about. It is in no way meant to be (or attempts to do) a thorough in depth report on what is going on. Think of it as just a "big picture" overview of the PATHETIC state of US immigration system as it applies to H1Bs and GCs.
On the point of painting "H1B issue as Indian issue" - Although the article doesn't claim to do that, don't you think that when 65% of H1Bs are taken up by Indian nationals (at least in 2000, probably more later, http://www.murthy.com/news/UDtechi.html)

In any case, my intent was not to be rude but just to point out that there is no need to get so riled up on an article that neither hurts or helps our cause.

485 and FP will have same receipt number, you should get 3 recipt numbers for each (485, AP and EAD) ..
We have
1 LIN Receipt number for 485 (and FP)
2 LIN Receipt numbers for EAD
2 LIN Receipt numbers for AP
total of - 5 receipt numbers.

please dont suddenly become "Edward Jones" or "Suze orman" and give financial advice because you may be doing bettter than the person asking the question. God forbid, but one major illness can wipe out anyone's good credit, even with insurance. watch "Sicko" and "Maxed Out". Eye-opening documentaries about the predatory greed of the insurance and financial firms. Dont be so smug. kidding about other people's misfortune isnt funny.

C'mon, the receipt numbers are not related at all. It is possible that reciept number X is for I-485 and receipt number X+1 is for refugee.
