#1 there is no front page news here... Sesiously people? It's two guys having coffee and one overheard line someone claims of heard without any real substance or context.
...but to add to the humor aspect going on here... I think Jobs wears the same thing every day to express solidarity with all the Apple users that have to settle for fewer choices and options than PC users.
You want blu-ray? Look I want a shirt I don't pull over my head every morning, but I get by..
You want a replaceable battery in your iPhone? Look I want a different pair of shoes but I get by...
You want USB ports on the iPad? Look I want to wear shorts some time, but I get by...
You do realize one of these "guys" is being indirectly sued by the other don't you ?

How bad do you guys think the queue will be?
The earliest I can be there is 3.30, will that be early enough for a t-shirt? :D

Probably. I'm not buying Leopard since I'm going to pick up a shiny new iMac I think.
But since I've been planning on meeting up with another Mac pal for a while, Leopard night seems like a good one to do so... (we did the same on Tiger night) so I'll be at Regent St. :D

winclone hasn't been updated in a while but could still work for you.
however, also have a look @ Casper (http://www.fssdev.com/).
I know about the WinClone part, but how would one run Casper when restoring the Windows partition?
It says the following on its website:
Casper provides a near-instant recovery capability by creating a fully bootable backup of a Windows system drive, including a backup that can boot and run directly from an external USB drive.
Requires computer with BIOS support for booting from USB hard disk drive (USB-HDD) devices. Not all computers support booting and running from USB hard disk drive type devices.
Does that mean, a backup via those means could be booted from an external HDD connected to a Mac?

Just received my 64GB 3G iPad from AT&T online, so I don't feel like I missed out. $529 for the previous top of the line model was to good to pass up.
I was intending to wait for the iPad 2, but for $29 more than the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad 2, I was able to get the 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 1. :)

...unless you have a dynamic IP
...Which your ISP has kept a record of that YOU had that dynamic IP at a specific date and time. Your ISP knows when and for how long they hand out each IP address. It's called record keeping. I know which user on my LAN at my business has which DHCP given IP. It's simple historical data.
Think RIAA and all the John/Jane Doe lawsuits

Well I've noticed something really weird by pure accident ...it is not that important but it did got my attention and if anyone knows why I would like to know for sure
first of all i have an ibook, an adsl line and a telindus adsl modem. With the modem I have two computers connected ....my ibook and my brothers windows based machine...By accident in my ibook i used a crossover cable to connect with the modem..and by suprise the internet worked. I tryied the same cable in the windows based machine kai ofcourse it didn't work.... It really seems weird (the straightthrought cable works fine with both mac kai windows computers).
thnx :D

Where do you think the Thunderbolt port might even go in the Air? Will it replace one of the USB ports? Doesn't seem like there's really that much room... thoughts?

It wasn't too difficult to predict either a Tory majority or minority win as most people vote with the economy. The Bloc/Liberal thrashing was unexpected, especially the Bloc. Perhaps a little more stability on the Quebec question is a good thing. Liberals had a poor platform with a few really good candidates so next time round they need to put some meat on the bones and I'm hoping that this will flush out the old guard Liberals.
For now, it's brown shirts and red arm bands for the next few years. :D (Harper Youth?)

I wonder who the first manufacturer was to create a dock connector? I assume IBM? They should sue Apple and give them a piece of their own medicine. You know if the shoe was on the other foot. . .

After listening to the sound bite of Trump asking for both Obama's birth certificate and college records, he strikes me as a political opportunist grasping for straws or he is a raciest.
He can be both, can't he?

I think it's closer to 4-6% for 5 years Pancreatic cancer is the only cancer to have a 5 year survival rate of a single digit.
The five year survival rate for well-differentiated pancreatic endocrine neoplasms is 50% - 70%. None of us have access to specific health records but most published reports (for whatever they are worth) indicate this is what Steve is dealing with.

Maybe the Power Chips (http://www.powerchips.gi/index.shtml) website is more welcoming. Seems like similar technology with a larger potential for energy recovery (70-80%). Hard to believe.

Anyone who says there aren't any, doesn't know what they're talking about... especially in the large-truck division, American technology still rules supreme.
